April 29th – June 7th, 2019
an online course to help you feel permission to renew and reinvent yourself
You wake up one morning, and there’s been a shift.
It’s in the air.
Something’s tugging at your heart.
The desire to change.
To shake things up.
To do something new.
The Permission: Spring course will inspire you to revel in spring’s invitation: to clean out the old, take time to dream, plant and tend the seeds of those dreams, and dance into the next phase of life by waking up to the beauty around you.
With a unique blend of art, self-love, and practical actionable tools and assignments, this course will help you create a lifetyle you love. It is where your masculine essence meets your feminine. Where you temper to-do lists with taking time to dream. Where your heart follows through with action to turn those dreams into reality. Where you come out of hibernation to see and be seen.
Spring is a time that can overwhelm us with too much doing and not enough being. It’s also a natural time to begin again—to start new projects, nurture new ideas, and experiment with new ways of living.
In Permission: Spring, we’ll share everything we know about balancing creative projects with work, relationships with self-love, relaxing into doing a little less and living a little more, and building a lifestyle that nourishes and excites us.
Whether you’ve got a creative project you’re nurturing or simply want to ENJOY your life a little more, this course will help you feel more permission to make this spring your own personal coming out party, emerging from winter feeling more like yourself.
Inspired by the 5 songs on the Spring volume of the Permission Album, we will cover 5 themes:
- Spring Cleaning
- Planting Seeds
In the Permission: Spring Course, you’ll receive:
- 5 songs from the Permission: Spring Album
- Lyrics from each song
- 5 video modules (25-30 minutes each)
- 5 Facebook Live video sessions with Lauren and Lisa
- Workbook with integration activities and prompts
- Access to a private Facebook group for community, accountability, and fun!
It was very clear and thorough. I like the metaphors, the science, the actionable steps, the personal stories, and the music. Well done. That applies to all the videos and the approach you two take as you help us guide ourselves to transform. I love the concept of moving seasonally and invoking those themes backed by neurology and effective self help.
You have made all these subjects easy to understand. All these songs have their own deep story, and I love the sound all of them. Your advice and wisdom and these Facebook Lives gave a really great guidance through the whole course.
The music was fantastic and helped me focus more. The length of the videos were great, the Facebook lives interaction was fantastic for me, and the support of the group was overwhelming. Everyone was so kind and supportive, as well as you both with your encouragement.
Permission is something you can only truly get from yourself.
Taking risks in life can be incredibly scary. But not taking them is even scarier.
If you don’t feel permission to be and pursue all the things you want in life…you might never try. More than doing is BEING. Being the person you want to be. Experiencing all that you’d like to experience.
Permission isn’t just a tool to help you hit goals and targets (though that tends to be a happy side effect). You awaken to the worlds inside and around you. You savor simple pleasures and find joy and beauty in your days. Permission is the key to not simply reacting to what life throws your way, but actively creating a life that thrills you with the full force of your imagination.
Look, we’re not gonna sugarcoat it: if you wait for someone else to tell you it’s okay to live the life you want, you’ll always need that external validation to move forward. It’s hard to be your true self when you’re waiting for someone else to tell you it’s ok.
We don’t want you to wait any more. In fact, not even until summer. We want you to feel the permission that only you can give yourself NOW.
With no expectations but to embark on a new journey with the two of you at the helm and others in the boat with me, I found the material, both written and video, very thought provoking. It elicited deep thinking, as was its intention, and a couple of 'Ah ha!' moments. The questions are not for the faint of heart! I think that if anyone enrolls thinking that this is going to be a bit of fluff is in for an awakening!
Work this program, friends, and don't let 2/3 of your life pass by and do nothing. Clarity began for me around age 19 when I realized that I had the freedom to choose what I wanted to do. I had no resources for college and no encouragement to try. I settled for the workplace then marriage and motherhood and denied my true sexuality for the next 47 years. Well, here I am finally living the dream of permitting myself to be myself. Clarity has come in many stages with many experiences.
Beautiful songs - I listen to them quite a lot. I lost both my parents a long time ago, but up until this course I found it hard to let them go. I've found the strength to move on, I have also lost my job, but now it's time for me to live my life; new job, new place to live, maybe even find love for the first time. Without this, I would not have bothered to change my life. It is happening slowly, but change is good. All of you on here have helped me see the light at the end of a very long tunnel.
What will you do with more permission?
Who will you be?
What will unfold and bloom?
If you feel like these words were written for you, they were. We invite you to join us.
